Palatine is fortunate to be the resident home of many theater companies whose productions are held at Cutting Hall. Each group welcomes those who wish to volunteer their technical or artistic skills for this effort. Call the individual group's number below for information on becoming involved. Theatre Nebula

Theatre Nebula is a non-profit, non-equity, professional theatre company that promotes and nurtures the appreciation of theatre and the fine arts within the community and among high school and college students. By involving our participants in productions with the interaction of professional theatre artists, and by exploring diverse theatrical styles, Theatre Nebula achieves one of its major goals: helping these talented individuals excel in the field of theatre, while broadening their knowledge of quality theatrical literature and styles.

The plays Theatre Nebula produces are normally chosen to provide some insight into history or the arts, or to help explore the human condition. Often, post performance question-and-answer discussions are held with the attending audience and a panel of educators or experts connected with the play’s subject matter.

Among the programs and services Theatre Nebula offers are involvement in play productions, both on and off stage; workshops with theatre arts professionals; internships that provide paid on-the-job training in the arts; and the awarding of a substantial Talent Grant College Scholarship to a student majoring in one of the Theatre Arts or Theatre Education, and the Famous FAFFA Forum (Famous Friends and Acquaintances and Friends of Friends and Acquaintances Forum) wherein a successful professional in the arts visits Cutting Hall for a presentation in an interview session format in front of the audience, and then takes questions from the audience. Theatre Nebula welcomes participants of all ages.
