On September 21, 1945, Cook County Clerk Edmund K. Jarecki signed a decree codifying the official formation of Palatine Park District. In the ensuing 75 years, the vision of Palatine Park District took shape thanks to the dedication and teamwork between Park District Commissioners and District staff.
Through multiple agency partnerships, Palatine Park District has been able to acquire over 500 acres of land which today includes 45 parks, 9 industry leading recreation facilities, and 3 aquatic centers. Additionally, Palatine Park District staff have provided thousands of programs and served generations of residents and visitors.
Palatine Park District is excited to celebrate its 75th Anniversary with you, our Palatine residents! As September marks the District’s inception, learn more below about the variety of celebratory activities we will be offering this month.
