Family Movie Night in the Park on August 17

Palatine Park District presents a free annual outdoor movie night for the whole family featuring “Moana” on Thursday, August 17 beginning at dusk (approximately 8:15pm).
Family Movie Night4th Annual Food Truck Frenzy on August 11

A variety of food trucks will take over the Family Aquatic Center parking lot, 340 E. Palatine Road, on Friday, August 11 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm for the 4th annual Palatine Park District Food Truck Frenzy. At 8:00pm, Morry Sochat and the Special 20’s will take to the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater stage to close out the 30th annual Sounds of Summer Concert Series. The event will include free parking, raffles, giveaways, and goody bags for the first 500 attendees.
Canine Carnival on July 27 at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater

Palatine Park District presents the annual Canine Carnival on Thursday, July 27 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 256 E. Palatine Road, in Palatine. This special event is a carnival designed just for dogs and their owners and made possible by presenting sponsor, A Closer Bond Dog Community Center.

Palatine Park District will present the 2017 Adult Battle of the Bands competition tonight at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 256 E. Palatine Road, in Palatine.

High School Comedy Playhouse will bring to life 186 of Hollywood’s greatest films in a fast-paced ninety minute production of “Completely Hollywood! (Abridged)” at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood Street, in Palatine.
Monarch Waystation Garden at Community Center

The Monarch Waystation designation that Palatine Park District has been awarded for the front of Community Center is through the Monarch Watch Organization. In order to qualify the district needed to meet criteria at this site for pesticide use, land management, and what plants are grown. The re-landscaping of Community Center due to our recent “face-lift” opened the door to the possibility for this to happen.
