Read the clues to determine the location of each park. At each location you will find trivia questions to answer along with clues to find the next location. There are three trivia category themes to choose from – do one and complete within your group or do all three:

Clues to Your First Location

Clues to Location #2:
- Many people call me Triangle Park because of my shape.
- I am named for a tree that has sharp thorns.
- I share a road with Towne Square.
Hawthorne Park, 210 South Brockway Street, Palatine
Clues to Location #3:
- I am a passive park which means I have no active recreational features.
- I am home to many mature Oak Trees–a favorite of Sammy Squirrel and his friends!
- I am located on a road near a Jr. High School whose mascot is a Mustang.

Clues to Location #4:
- I am one of the District’s most southern parks.
- I am named after a tree that sends out seeds with white cottony fluff every year in early summer.
- I am on a foxy lane in Rolling Meadows.

- I am home to the dog park and its new small dog area.
- You can fish from my shoreline or from my pier.
- I am located on campus and I’m one of 3 water reservoirs.

- Some people think I’m in Inverness, but I’m in Hoffman Estates.
- I’m located near a road that shares its name with our village and park district.

- I’m named after a tiny, really fast bird.
- My location is close to Palatine Stables and a forest preserve.
- I’m located on a road that connects Dundee with Route 14/NW Hwy.
Hummingbird Park, 1225 North Palos Avenue, Palatine

- I am the newest Palatine Park District park–I’m only 6 years old.
- I am the park furthest to the north in the District.
- I am located next to Dee Lane and that is part of my name.
Chickadee Park, 18 East Preserve Drive, Palatine
Clues to Location #9:
- My recreation center celebrated its 10th birthday last year.
- My name is a bird of prey.
- I am tucked away off the main road–you’ll find me at the end of Recreation Drive.
Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 North Hicks Road, Palatine

- This building used to be Palatine’s High School and is now shared with the Village of Palatine.
- The fitness center is located on the second floor and gymnastics facility is on the first floor.
