Pull into the gym for “Toy Story 4” at Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 W. Illinois Avenue, Palatine, on Friday, March 6. Indoor Drive-In Movie is an event for the whole family from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Each family supplies their own cardboard box for each child to create a car they can park in-front of the screen to enjoy “Toy Story 4.”
The original “Toy Story” arrived 25 years ago. The fourth iteration is as impactful as the original and a great way to share the Toy Story tradition with your entire family. Indoor Drive-In Movie is a unique opportunity to experience a family fun event without worrying about the winter weather.
While families may bring their own decorations, Palatine Park District will provide goody bags full of decorative materials. Paint and permanent markers will not be allowed. Car designing will begin at 6:00pm, followed by the feature presentation at 7:00pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are encouraged to bring blankets or to view the movie. Concessions including pizza, popcorn, candy, water, and pop will be available for purchase. Outside food is not permitted.
Registration is $6.00 per child and $1.00 per adult 18 and over – children under one are free. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by Wednesday, February 26 at 7:00pm. Registration may be completed in person at Community Center, Birchwood Recreation Center, Falcon Park Recreation Center, or online. Regardless of age, all participants, including adults and children under 1, must be registered.
“We enjoy participating in this event because it brings kids and their parents together to enjoy a movie. It’s part of the mission of the bank to be part of the community and support events like this.” Said Bridget Witt, Branch Manager, of Palatine Bank & Trust. Palatine Park District is proud to have local bank, Palatine Bank & Trust, as our sponsor again this year.
