We would love to welcome any new singers who are interested in joining PCC to further their education in music! We offer a variety of levels for musicians at all different experience levels, and look forward to further serving those in the area with our programs.
Stevee Bellas, Palatine Children's Chorus Artistic Director
Did you know that the Palatine Children’s Chorus (PCC) offers a world-class musical program for children ages 4-18? Palatine Park District offers PCC Welcome Nights Monday, January 6 and Wednesday, January 8 at Palatine Park District’s Community Center, 250 E. Wood Street, Palatine. Both sessions are held at 6:30pm and there is no charge. According to Ashley Schiavone, Palatine Park District’s Cultural Arts Coordinator, all children ages four and older and a parent or guardian are welcome to attend an informational session. “This is an opportunity to meet the PCC directors and learn more about the chorus,” Schiavone said. Participants will also participate in voice evaluations. No registration is required.
PCC singers from throughout the northwest suburbs enjoy a variety of musical experiences in the Sing With Me (ages 4-5), Do Re Mi (ages 6-7), Treble (age 8+), Intermezzo, Concert, and Honors Choirs. The Chorus safely nurtures children’s voices, introduces all age groups to a variety of music, and offers each level appropriate, safe vocal instruction and music education.
PCC’s traveling choirs have performed all around the United States and overseas at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall, the renowned Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Montreal, Quebec, Wales, Austria, Venice, Madrid, Barcelona, and more. They have also performed for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and Joffrey Ballet.
“We are excited for another great session at PCC,” said Stevee Bellas, PCC’s Artistic Director. “We would love to welcome any new singers who are interested in joining PCC to further their education in music! We offer a variety of levels for musicians at all different experience levels, and look forward to further serving those in the area with our programs,” she added. “Please consider joining us for our Welcome Nights January 6th and 8th if your child loves to sing.”
This is not an audition. All children who attend Welcome Nights will be welcomed into the PCC family.
