PCC provides excellent musical instruction and development of music literacy and leadership skills. We welcome singers of all levels and experience, and look forward to expanding within our community.
Stevee Bellas, Palatine Children's Chorus Artistic Director
Join the Palatine Children’s Chorus on Monday, January 14 or Wednesday, January 16 at 6:30pm for their free “Welcome Nights.” Welcome Nights will be held at Palatine Park District’s Community Center in Room 1B, located at 250 E. Wood Street in Palatine.
Palatine Children’s Chorus (PCC) welcomes all children ages 4-18 who love to sing! During the Welcome Nights participants and parents can meet directors, learn more about the chorus, and participate in voice evaluations. This is not an audition. All children who attend Welcome Nights will be welcomed into the PCC family.
Singers from throughout the Northwest Suburbs enjoy a variety of musical experiences in Sing with Me (ages 4-5), Do Re Mi (ages 6-7), Treble (ages 8+), Intermezzo, Concert, and Honors Choirs. PCC safely nurtures children’s voices, introduces all age groups to a variety of music, and offers each level appropriate and safe vocal instruction and music education. PCC’s traveling choirs have performed all around the world, including Hawaii, Montreal, England, Austria, Venice, Spain, Ireland, Carnegie Hall in New York City, and other locations. Additionally, the choirs have performed for the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Joffrey Ballet, and at the Illinois State Fair.
“I am excited for the upcoming season which will include a lot of fun new music and am excited to welcome any new singers who are interested in joining us,” said Palatine Children’s Chorus Artistic Director Stevee Bellas. “PCC provides excellent musical instruction and development of music literacy and leadership skills. We welcome singers of all levels and experience, and look forward to expanding within our community,” she added.
Assistant Artistic Director Crystalyn Snow Boyer is also eagerly anticipating the new season. “I am excited for the spring session and am looking forward to new music and fun music games for our younger singers, more opportunities for our intermediate choirs to cross over and sing with each other, and continued instruction in music literacy throughout the levels,” she said. “We are also looking forward to welcoming new singers into the PCC community!”
