On September 21, Palatine Park District welcomed and entertained various local business leaders at a sponsor appreciation event held at Falcon Park Recreation Center in Palatine. There were 63 attendees from over 120 invited businesses. Representatives in attendance were acknowledged for their support of community events and programs and shown how their business’s involvement has helped individual families.
$20,000 of the revenue that the Park District raises through the Partner Program goes back into the community in the form of scholarships. “If it wasn’t for the scholarship program my children wouldn’t be able to participate,” said one scholarship recipient. “My children love sports and we’re grateful to have the opportunity to help them develop their passion. It has had a positive impact on their grades.”
“It is so rewarding to be able to invite all of our sponsors to a night where we can convey our gratitude and appreciation,” said Julie Selof, Sponsorship Coordinator for Palatine Park District, and organizer of the event. “Whether they put ads in our catalogs, sponsor events, programs or leagues, we care about each and every supporter.”
Palatine Park District’s Executive Director Mike Clark shared a few words at the event to express his gratitude to this year’s sponsors. “We feel you are part of us and part of our team,” said Clark. “Together we bring a little peace, sanity, and balance to the busy and hectic lives of our residents.” Among those in attendance were Park Board of Commissioners Nick Sawyer, Jennifer Rogers, Sue Gould, Jay Cozza, and Terry Ruff.
“One of the things I like about these partnerships is the creativity that we use to showcase each other and what we have to offer the community,” said Joan Scovic, Communications & Marketing Manager for Palatine Park District. Customized packages can be created using a variety of sponsorship and advertising options.
“Our partnership with Palatine Park District offers a fantastic way to reach many individuals and families by sponsoring a variety of events throughout the year,” according to a statement provided by Palatine Bank & Trust. “For us, supporting Palatine Park District is a great use of our advertising and marketing dollars, while also providing a benefit to the community.”
“Everyone in attendance felt the sincerity of the District’s intentions and we all felt quite appreciated,” according to a statement provided by Primal Pet Products. Andrea Lublink, Communications and Marketing Manager for Palatine Public Library, remarked, “It was really nice to see so many partners from the community working together.”
“This is one of the best times of the year for me as I get to say thank you to all the people who make Palatine a great place to live,” said Selof. Food was provided by Pizza Bella. Palatine Park District giveaways were available for attendees as well.
