Palatine Park Foundation Hosts Inaugural Wine & Nine at the Hills on June 1

May 23, 2019 / Palatine Park District / News Update

Palatine Park Foundation will be hosting the inaugural Wine & Nine at The Hills fundraiser on Saturday, June 1 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. The outdoor experience will be held at Palatine Hills Golf Course, 512 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Wine & Nine is an event for participants 21 and older. Activities include wine tastings and golf related competitions throughout the course. The ticket fee of $50 per person includes a golf cart for the event, dinner, wine tastings on the course, and the ability to participate in a golf scramble, FootGolf, most accurate drive contest, chipping and putting contests, and disc golf. A cash bar will be available, and a variety of raffles and auctions will be offered. All event proceeds will benefit the Foundation Scholarship Program which provides financial assistance to Palatine Park District residents with financial need, allowing them to participate in the District’s various athletic, recreational, and social programs.

To purchase tickets for Wine & Nine at The Hills visit palatineparkfoundation.org/wineandnine. Tickets can also be purchased at any of Palatine Park District’s registration offices including Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, and Falcon Park Recreation Center. Tickets will also be available at the door on June 1. Palatine Park Foundation Board Members are President Carl E. Arthur, Jim Lennon, Robert Dutch Schultz, Debbie Lemonidis (event chair), Fred Hall (event chair), Monica Haun (event chair), and Kate McNally (event chair). McNally says, “I am happy to help organize a fun event that will give both golfers and non-golfers an opportunity to experience Palatine Hills Golf Course in a new way, and of course, earn money for a great cause.”

The Palatine Park Foundation’s vision is to contribute to the health and well-being of the Palatine Park District’s residents by providing program scholarship opportunities to residents with financial limitations, assisting in preserving open space in the Palatine Park District area, and providing funding assistance for projects or events that provide physical accessibility to all. Palatine Park Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation; all donations are tax deductible as charitable contributions as allowed by law.
