The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
Employee Notification Letters
The following is an employee notification letter from the Executive Director regarding positive cases of COVID-19 in the workplace. Contact Human Resources (Assistant Superintendent of District Services & Projects) or Risk Manager with any questions or concerns.
The following is an employee notification letter from the Executive Director containing details on Phase 4 of the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan, details regarding staffing levels, and plans for part-time, seasonal, full-time, essential, and remote workers. As more staff are introduced back into the workplace, the District is doing everything possible to keep everyone, including the families employees go home to after work, safe and healthy.
The following is an employee notification letter from the Executive Director containing the District’s Return to Work Plan, guidelines, protocol, and expected requirements when coming to the office per the new schedule which complies with Phase 3 workplace guidelines. Employees are encouraged to review thoroughly and reach out to their immediate supervisor, human resources, or the Executive Director with any questions or concerns.

Prior to returning to work, but no later than May 15, 2020, each employee is expected to review and acknowledge the Return to Work Plan, sign the acknowledgement form and return it to Risk Manager Brian Udany.

Currently employed staff should see their department head regarding the need for re-assignment shifts in parks and facilities. Also included in this letter are health insurance rates for employee contributions effective June 1, 2020 as part of the District’s approach to keep all full-time staff working and paid.
