March 7, 2021

After 2020, children need social interaction more than ever.

Palatine Park District offers a state licensed preschool for children ages 3-5 providing a warm, accepting, safe, and clean environment where learning is fun. Safety protocols haven been put into place including masks, thorough cleaning of classrooms, and frequent hand washing. The District’s experienced teachers offer a variety of developmentally appropriate activities designed to help children learn and grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Creativity and curiosity are encouraged to help foster a growing desire to learn and opportunities are provided to allow each child to reach their potential.

According to Karen Rude, Preschool/Tots Coordinator, “after 2020, children need social interaction more than ever. Our programs provide opportunities for socialization as well as activities that prepare children for kindergarten. We are licensed by the State of Illinois and follow their COVID protocols to ensure everyone’s safety.”

Curriculum includes pre-kindergarten skills, art, music, science, large and small motor development, and imaginative play. Outdoor play is included whenever the weather allows. Class size is limited to 20 students, led by two experienced teachers and an assistant. Teachers in the program are required to meet Department of Child and Family Services college training in education or child development.
