Four Ways to Register
Full payment must be enclosed with registration. Do not send cash through the mail or place cash in the drop boxes. No registration taken by phone or fax. Do not write credit card numbers on forms.

Registration forms are processed in real time at Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, and Falcon Park Recreation Center. See above for registration office hours.
Mail • Check Only
Mail forms and payment to Palatine Park District, Registration, 250 E. Wood Street, Palatine, Illinois 60067. Make checks payable to Palatine Park District.
Drop-Off • Check Only
Place registration forms and payment in an envelope and drop off at Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, and Falcon Park Recreation Center. Outdoor drop boxes are accessible 24 hours a day.
Passes & Memberships
Palatine Park District key fobs will be issued for all passes and memberships, including walking track, gym, turf, golf, and fitness. Before a key fob can be assigned and distributed, the following must take place:
- A household must be created in the Palatine Park District registration system, either online or in person.
- Household members ages 18 and older must each prove residency with a current Illinois driver’s license or state ID at one of our registration offices and must have a photo taken for our system before their key fob can be distributed.
- Household members ages 4-17, accompanied by an adult from their household account, must each have a photo taken for our system before their key fob can be distributed.
- All members over the age of 18 must sign the waiver when purchasing a membership.
Palatine Park District passes and memberships are non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy
If a program does not reach its minimum number of participants seven days prior to the starting date of class, it may be canceled. Participants will be called and have an option of transferring to another class or receiving a refund.
Catalog Delivery
The Park District is pleased to provide residents with a quarterly program catalog. Each quarter, every effort is made to ensure timely delivery to residents’ homes. Should you be missed, please come to the Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, or Falcon Park Recreation Center to pick up a copy.
While program catalogs will not be mailed out to non-residents, they are available to view and download online through this website under the District Information tab.

Photo Policy
From time to time the Park District may take photographs of participants enrolled in Park District programs, special events, or of people on Park District properties and/or parks. These photographs may be used in our catalogs, brochures, presentations, flyers, social media, or website and are for Park District use only.
Program Catalog Changes/Errors Disclaimer
Occasionally, there may be an error that appears in print or online regarding days, times, fees, or other information. When such errors occur, Palatine Park District will do everything possible to correct the situation promptly. Thank you for your patience and understanding when these situations arise.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates and golf gift cards are available in any denomination. Gift certificates can be purchased at the Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, or Falcon Park Recreation Center. Golf gift cards can be purchased at the Community Center (December-mid March) or at Palatine Hills Golf Course (during golf season).
Resident Scholarship
Palatine Park District offers scholarships to Park District residents for reduced program rates according to financial need. Application forms are available at the Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, or Falcon Park Recreation Center. Contact Donna Orr at 847.496.6240.

Special Needs & Inclusion Services
Palatine Park District does not discriminate against eligible residents for participation in programs on the basis of a disabling condition. Residents with special needs should notify staff when registering so that smooth inclusion may occur. In addition to the programs listed in our seasonal program catalog, the Park District also provides specialized services for people with disabilities through Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). Those who are hearing impaired can call Illinois Relay Services at 800.526.0857 for assistance in filling out registration forms.
Wait List Policy
If you are placed on a wait list for a class, and an opening becomes available, you will be contacted by the registration department. If you wish to be transferred to an alternate class or receive a refund, please complete a program transfer form and drop it off at the Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, or Falcon Park Recreation Center.
Website Translation
Palatine Park District services a rich and diverse community. In an effort to communicate more effectively with our patrons, the website now offers a translation option. Click the “Select Language” button at the top right of the site to see a variety of language options.
Withdrawal & Refund Policy
To submit a refund request, an Application for Withdrawal Form must be submitted. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
- All approved refunds will be applied as a household credit unless otherwise requested on the Application for Withdrawal Form.
- If another form of refund is requested, a $5.00 processing fee will be applied.
- If requested, approved refunds will be made via check for cash or check payments, and will be refunded back to the original card number used for credit card payments. Please note, refunds via check take 10-21 days to process.
- Approved refunds of less than $10.00 will only be processed as household credits.
- Refunds are not given for special events, trips, or one-day programs unless the event in canceled by Palatine Park District.
- Refunds are not given for passes or memberships.
- Some programs have separate refund policies and will be noted next to the program information.
Timing of Requests
A full refund will be processed for approved requests received seven days prior to the start of the program. Approved requested received less than seven days prior to the start of the program will be evaluated and processed accordingly. Program and other non-refundable materials will be deducted from the refund total.
Medical Refund Requests
A certificate from a physician is required for medical exceptions. Approved medical exception refunds will be prorated from the time the request is received. Medical exceptions cannot be processed after the class has ended.

Camp Refund Policy*
Refunds requested at least ten days prior to the start of a camp session will receive a full refund minus the original camp deposit. Refund requests received less than ten days prior to the start of a camp session are at the discretion of the Camp Coordinator. No refunds will be issued for All Session camps after Friday, May 1, 2023. Medical and special situation refund requests are subject to review and the discretion of the Superintendent of Recreation.
