Get ready for an unforgettable evening of community fun and connection! The Palatine Police Department, in collaboration with Palatine Park District and the Palatine Police Boosters and other amazing partners, is excited to host Palatine’s very first National Night Out—and you’re invited!
This free, family-friendly event is all about bringing neighbors together while celebrating the important partnerships between the community and local law enforcement.
“It’s an opportunity to connect in a relaxed, positive environment, build trust, and have conversations that don’t involve a 9-1-1 call. We want residents to feel like they know the people behind the badge—and this event helps make that possible,” said Deputy Chief Dave Brandwein.
From 5pm to 8pm, enjoy music, hands-on activities, and live demos.

Plus, visit booths from local organizations, connect with community resources, and enter for a chance to win exciting raffle prizes!
There’s something for everyone, according to Brandwein. “Whether you want to meet the officers that work in your neighborhood, check out our squad cars, or enjoy family-friendly activities, we invite everyone to connect with our officers, explore our specialty units, and learn more about the services we provide throughout the year. “
National Night Out is a nationwide initiative designed to promote stronger police-community relationships. It’s an evening where neighborhoods across the country come together to take a stand against crime while building a true sense of belonging.
Brandwein added, “We see this as a valuable tradition that strengthens our relationship with the community year after year. Our goal is to continue growing the event and making it something that families and neighbors look forward to every summer.”
Mark your calendar, bring the whole family, and be part of something special in Palatine. We can’t wait to see you there!
